Come a little closer for this dynamic 3-concert series: Chamber Music is written for a cozy gathering of friends and neighbours that are close enough to hear the softest whisper.

This season, the Series opens with Intimate Voices, a program that journeys North with luminous melodies and raucous rhythms.

The second concert  is a special chamber orchestra collaboration with Bel Canto Singers and Sudbury Chamber Singers, performing a favourite from our past 50 seasons: Handel’s Messiah.

The third in the series features Schubert’s String Quintet in C major. This extraordinary work expands the traditional quartet with the addition of a second cello, creating a rich sound world of striking depth and beauty.

SSO Chamber Series concerts run approximately 70-80 minutes with no intermission, in the beautiful sanctuary of St. Andrew’s Place. There will be an intermission for Handel’s Messiah, which will run 100 minutes.
