About This Event

Symphony Kids: Adventures for Little Ears!

Join the SSO for a captivating musical adventure that blends theatre and orchestral music. Our 2PM concert is presented in English, and 4PM in French.

Pre-concert, check out the Mini Maestro Zone in the lobby, a chance to meet and try some of the musical instruments featured in the concert.

Vivaldi, Venice and Violins

All three are celebrated in Vivaldi’s Ring of Mystery, a compelling mystery story about an orphan girl in the early 1700s who is in search of her roots. A central clue to the mystery is a missing Stradivarius violin that the Duke of Cremona has brought to Vivaldi’s school of the Pieta in the hopes of finding his long lost grandchild. You’ll have to watch the story unfold to learn its conclusion!

Audiences will enjoy more than twenty-five excerpts from Vivaldi’s most popular and important works, including the Four Seasons, the Violin Concerto in A minor, and the Guitar Concerto. The music is magically woven into the drama as two actors solve a mystery built around the historic context of the composer’s real life.

Recently, she co-directed both ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and Bad Hats Theatre’s ‘Peter Pan’, and has performed in shows such as ‘Oliver!’, ‘Jersey Boys’, ‘Elf!’, and ‘Into The Woods’. She has also designed ‘One Small Step’, ‘She Kills Monsters’, and ‘Antigone’, and is deeply grateful to continue her journey in theatre with the kindest and most generous people. Gaia is thrilled to direct ‘Vivaldi’s Ring of Mystery’, and hopes it can inspire a younger generation of musicians and artists alike to follow their truths and to create the art they want to see in the world.
