Amy Godin is a charismatic, emerging soprano from Sudbury, Ontario. As a young singer, she placed first at the 2018 OMFA Provincials in Grade 9 voice and has had many opportunities to perform, notably as a soloists with the Bel Canto Chorus (Goodall’s Eternal Light Requiem, 2023), and as a soloist in the Sudbury Symphony Emerging Artist Showcase (2023). Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Amy made her opera debut in the role of Magda Sorel in Menotti’s The Consul with Opera NUOVA in Edmonton, Alberta (2022). This past February, Amy performed multiple roles as a soloist in numerous scenes from Western’s Opera Gala. Amy would like to thank and acknowledge her family, friends, colleagues and educators from her hometown and beyond who have supported her and her dream for the past decade.
