Things in this Brave New Post-pandemic World keep shifting. The conductor originally scheduled to prepare this concert, decided to follow a different path. We are lucky and very grateful that Josh Wood, who conducted the November concert, was willing to return to Sudbury and, with short notice, to help us take this concert, the original concept of which was in the heart of the abdicated conductor, and adapt it to his own unique image. What you will hear is a concert with variety that inspects the waltz from various sides and even includes an original arrangement of the famous Handle Saraband by the maestro himself. We moved this concert to the Radisson Hotel Ballroom so as to add a demonstration of the Viennese waltz to the program. We hope that you will enjoy the program as much as we have enjoyed collaborating with Dr Wood in putting it together for you.
