Symphony Crawl

Saturday, September 25
2:00 to 6:30 PM

40+ Musicians ∙ 15 Locations

Join us for the return of our annual Symphony Crawl! We’re ecstatic to partner once again with local businesses to cultivate an afternoon of live music in the downtown core, bringing everyone together to celebrate our musicians, the Greater Sudbury community, our downtown neighbours, and arts and culture!

The Sudbury Symphony Crawl will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm and will culminate in a performance of Terry Riley’s In C by the orchestra members — to be led by the SSO’s Artistic Director, Mélanie Léonard.

In order to adapt to the complications of COVID-19 and adhere to public health guidelines, this year’s festival will look a little different.  To keep everyone safe, this year the SSO is presenting the event with a twist. We’re inviting the public to stroll the downtown area and enjoy live music on the outdoor patios and stages, all free of charge.

The event will primarily take place on Durham Street, with the Main Stage located in front of the YMCA at 140 Durham Street. However, there will be other locations to listen to live music on Cedar, Larch, and Elgin. It’s also an opportunity to grab a bite at one of Sudbury’s best restaurants and do some shopping at our unique locally-owned shops.

In addition, the Symphony Crawl is an important fundraiser that will help the SSO to continue to present concerts, offer music education, and serve our community. The Crawl is the kick-off to our exciting 2021-2022 musical season. There will be opportunities at the Crawl to donate to the SSO either in cash or electronically.

We can’t wait to perform for all of you again!
