As we navigate unprecedented times, the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra extends our best wishes for the health and well-being of you and your loved ones.

The health and safety of our patrons, musicians, staff, volunteers and the community are our highest priority and as such, we will not be presenting the remaining concerts of the 2019-2020 season. While our hearts are heavy, the brilliant performances of past seasons still reverberate.

We have made some changes to the way we do things, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is our pleasure in connecting with you. Our office will remain open virtually. Please connect with us via email or phone at 705.673.1280.

We are grateful to our patrons who have generously donated their March concert tickets to assist our Orchestra’s return to the performance hall. The following options are available for patrons who have unused tickets for the remainder of the Season’s concerts by contacting our SSO office.  Please help us keep our music alive:

  • Donate the value of your unused tickets/subscription for a charitable tax. This act of generosity provides you with a charitable tax receipt and allows us to keep creating new ways to make and share orchestral music while in isolation. Your gift will keep our music alive! All tax receipts will be sent via email or mailed if you do not have an email on file.
  • Receive a credit on your account for the value of tickets. This credit may be used towards 2020/21 tickets or subscriptions.
  • Receive a refund for the value of your tickets. Refunds will be over the course of the coming months.

We would like to thank our community partners – subscribers, donors, patrons, musicians, artistic collaborators and volunteers – for your support and commitment. We look forward to the time when the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra can once again perform live for you. In the meantime, know that the SSO is thinking of you. Dream with us and imagine the magic of the moment when that first downbeat is given.

We hope you are all safe, healthy and finding joy and comfort in music. We look forward to welcoming you back. Stay well!
