Young Performers’ Competition

The Sudbury Symphony Orchestra’s Young Performers’ Competition is back for the 2018.19 Season.

If you are a music educator with a student between the ages of 16 and 26; currently working on a concerto, sonata or song cycle for any instrument and you think they have what it takes to perform for our panel of judges we want to hear from you.

Our previous competition produced two winners, Hannah Crawford and Emerson Berglund, who both shared first place with monetary prizes awarded to each individual. Both performed solo pieces with the SSO during our 17.18 and 18.19 Seasons respectively.

Applying is as easy as filling out our application form and uploading a YouTube video of your performance.  Applications and video links may be sent to the following email address:

Application videos are not required to have piano accompaniment, but if your student is selected as finalist they will be required to bring their own pianist to the final round, which will take place at St. Andrew’s Church in Sudbury on March 10th 2019.

Applications are due by February 15th 2019, so don’t’ wait! Apply today!
